Red River Sport is not your typical management agency. We keep our client list very select in order to offer high level individual attention that is tailored to provide exactly what each client wants and needs.

Although our core business is managing the motor sport aspirations of high net worth individuals with a passion for driving, at Red River Sport we are also involved with mentoring, coaching and managing a select few up-and-coming young drivers alongside some current top level professional drivers.

As a result we are able to provide support at every level of the sport, from karting all the way up to Formula One, and from Ferrari Challenge all the way to the Le Mans 24 hours. Drivers from as young as 8 years of age to the more experienced senior driver. From track days, achieving your racing license, all the way up to competing at the highest amateur level in the FIA World Endurance Championship and ultimately the Le Mans 24 Hours race itself.

Red River Sport co-founder Johnny Mowlem, is a professional international racing driver ranked amongst the top sports car and GT drivers in the world. He is a four time British and one time European Le Mans GT champion. He has competed in every class of World Sportscar racing, and has victories in both the Daytona 24 hours and the Sebring 12 hours. He has also earned overall and class podiums at virtually all of the world's major sports car races, including the Le Mans 24 hours and the 1000km Nurburgring.

“Training and promoting young talent continues to be important for Red River Sport. We are actively involved in supporting talented drivers.”

Red River Sport has an excellent relationship throughout the entire range of the motorsport world from the grass roots of karting and the UK's premier track day company, all the way up to the World Sports car Championship and Formula One, and has negotiated contracts for drivers with racing teams in the  following championships and categories:

  • National Honda Cadets

  • PFI Club Championship

  • Rotax Max Challenge Euro Trophy

  • Super One Series Championships

  • GT Cup

  • Britcar (Ferrari Challenge - GT4 and GT3)

  • Ultimate Cup (LMP3)

  • Michelin Le Mans Cup and Road to Le Mans (LMPS and GT3)

  • Asian Le Mans Series (LMP3 and GT3)

  • European Le Mans Series (LMP2/LMP3/GTE)

  • FIA World Endurance Championship (GTE AM)

  • FIA World Endurance Championship (LMP1/LMP2)

  • IMSA Sportscar Championship (DPi, GTE, GTD)

  • FIA Formula One

This year's programme will include another LMP3 campaign overseen by Mowlem, this time with a Duqueine M30, as well as a full campaign in the World Endurance Championship, culminating with the famous Le Mans 24 hours.

Red River's initial plan was for Bon Grimes to drive with Ivor Dunbar in GTE Am with Mowlem in the line-up as a coach and mentor. Bon then progressed rapidly and will achieve his motorsport ambition of racing on one of the motorsport world’s biggest stages. It will also be a big moment for Red River's founder:

"I was fortunate enough in my career to race in the 24 Hours 10 times and to stand on the podium, but when I get Bon to Le Mans it will be highly emotional for me," says Mowlem. "It will be a massive achievement for Red River, because he started with us from absolutely zero having never even driven on a track day 4 years ago! He clearly has the talent to make that journey possible, but it also reflects well on the work that the Red River Sport agency has been doing behind the scenes to help guide him along that journey.“

More Talent on the Books
Coaching amateurs as the face of Red River Sport is Johnny Mowlem’s focus, but he’s already diversified to help others further up the motor racing chain. Among them is former Audi LMP1 ace and multiple Le Mans podium finisher, Oliver Jarvis. The 36-year-old is racing for Mazda in the US (below) and Bentley in Europe this year. He’s already had a long, varied and successful career, so at this stage why does he need Johnny? “I’d always looked after myself.”

Jarvis says; “Things were very simple at Audi. Contracts were standardised and there wasn’t much to be discussed. But when Audi pulled out of LMP1 (in 2016) I realised I had been living in a bubble. I needed help, someone to bounce ideas off  and to act as a buffer. I’ve always been slightly ‘anti-manager’ because 90% aren’t very good. There are a lot who latch on and want money for very little. But Johnny has been great for me, I’ve developed so much as a person since Audi pulled out.

I could do a lot of it myself, but I like having Johnny there. It takes the pressure off. I can focus on the racing itself and not get distracted.” He can also watch his manager and take note for the day when the racing stops for him, too.
